This unusual pair of antique nutcrackers i think date to around 1920 possibly a little either way in date , the nutcrackers are made of oak with the top carved in the form of an Owl head in a kind of modernist style as seen in the photos , the eyes are made of i think glass and do have a couple of chips in them as shown , there is a lever handle for cracking the nuts but not sure how it works as it opens enough for the nut to be placed inside but does not close up completely but was ma...de this way just not come across this before , the nutcrackers measure 9 inches high and in good condition just minor wear and tear with age and use
