Circa 1870, a good 4″ theodolite standing 8″ high on the tribach and the telescope 7″ long, racked in. It has a 4″ silver circle engraved from 0 – 360 with verniers and magnifyers. The telescope has rack wheel focussing and gives a good clear image, the case contains a lens erector for terrestrial viewing. The horizontal plate signed, ‘L. Casella, No 4787’. Very clean condition.
