Beautiful and rare example of the Fred A. Kail design ceramic statue of the baseball slugger (reputedly inspired by the Reds' Ted Kluszewski of the 1950's) - made in Japan, mounted on an ashtray - 9" tall, in flawless condition. While the Kail football statues from Japan were plentiful, the Kail baseball pieces were very scarce and occasionally mounted on ashtrays. A neat, retro item at a low starting price.
