Antique Gilman Joslin Terrestrial Globe. This globe was made in Boston and dates to circa 1889. The globe is about 16 inches in diameter, and stands about 24 inches in height, including the stand. In good condition, but with some scuffs and water marks here and there (see photos, which are part of this description; please note, in particular, that there is a scuff near Alaska, a fairly small loss near Nova Scotia, another in Missouri, some scuffs in and around Russia, a narrow area of ...vertical damage adjacent to the analemma, and a water stain in the Atlantic Ocean). The northern hemisphere is somewhat darker than the southern hemisphere, owing to disparate exposure to sunlight. Please ask all questions before auction's end. Thank you for your interest.
