This is an extremely rare and early example of Betty Cooke’s cooks modernist designs, that influence her jewelry and her household goods such as candelabras, fireplace tools, leather belts, Leather purses and handbags. All done in the early days of her career.
Extremely rare and cleverly designed this handbag faults open ...and it suggested closed by the sliding brass tube on the leather shoulder strap. The purse section in itself is a canvas bag that closes. And beautiful original conditionThe main person section measures 12 “x 9” closed.
