Original Description:
The SS Albany was built in Yard No. 267 by Alexander Stephen & Son, Glasgow, Scotland, and launched in August 1882.  She was a steam-powered iron cargo ship owned and operated by J. Warrack & Co., Leith, Scotland.  Her length was 310 ft and breadth was 38 ft.  She was wrecked and sank on May 15, 1891, off Yokohama, Japan on a voyage between Yokohama and New York.  This wooden half hull was built as an architectural model prior to the construction of the ship....  The model was built around 1880.  This is a LARGE half hull; 90 inches long X 15 inches tall and easily weighs 70+ lbs.  If you live within 5 hrs of Boston or are willing to meet somewhere within 5 hrs of Boston I will deliver the model to you for a $300.00 fee.  Shipping this will be difficult and the potential for damage in shipping is likely.  Please contact me to discuss delivery or shipping options, I'm willing to work with you.
