Hello, I have a 1920’s Antique Usaco Air Compressor up for sale. Their big thing was how quiet it is, and that it is! I acquired through a partial payment of a loan to a buddy. It was left to him by his neighbor that passed away, and that’s all I know. It works good, compressed air and held it with no leaks. Could use some more tinkering with the alignment of the leather belt. I have more pictures and a video of it. I had to take it apart so a friend and I could load it on to the t...ruck. Since I had it apart I cleaned the 90+ years of grease, dirt, overspray, and funk. I didn’t take apart the pump or the motor, they both worked. The power cord for the motor still has the cloth wrapped wire, I just put heat shrink over what was there, put wire terminals on the ends that attach to the regulator. The power cord that plugs into the wall is still in great shape, not sure if the regulator will maintain the psi or not. The gauge I believe is off air brakes for Commercial vehicle, it works. The motor has a Feb 5. 1918 Patient date on the bracket. The serial plate on the housing is pictured. It’s really cool to watch it fire up! The adjustment bracket is fully cleaned and adjusts. There is a brass adjustment tension gauge that works with the bracket. I cleaned and re set the brass pulley. The big cast iron pulley was removed and cleaned. Some of the original gold paint, brass, copper was uncovered and looks awesome. I had to replace the 1/2” line from the pump to the tank, the rest came with it. The tank has a riveted seam tank with drain plug. Has a serial tag on it from the Air Tight Co, Pittsburgh PA. You can see some of the brass filler on the seams. Holds air great, no leaks, well built. The only issues that I’m aware of is the one end of the foot of the tank pedestal is broke off. There was a belt tensioner to my knowledge, I have part of it, not functioning. Not sure if the regulator works.Bottom line is this thing is freaking cool. It has great patina, looks good and you wouldn’t feel bad using it in your rat rod garage, man cave etc... I’d love to see it goto someone who will appreciate it and maybe take it to it’s full potential. The fact it’s right around 100 years old and still works is awesome. The compressor is overkilled when it comes to being mounted to the 4”x4” posts that are nailed from the other side to the pallet. Standard size pallet, perfect for shipping purposes. If you want I’ll wrap it in industrial shirk wrap. Will need a pallet jack, lift, or winch with ramps to get onto a truck or trailer. Buyer is responsible for shipping or local pickup. Sale may end and be removed at anytime as item is for sale locally.
