Pair of flying ring-necked pheasants in a free style hanging position, handcarved and painted by Casey Edwards in his antique/vintage style. Casey's "flyers" have become very popular and collectible as he is the only person who is carving such a wide variety of all the bird species, especially the waterfowl and game birds with such consistency, originality, and quality and bringing them to you, the buying and collecting public. This pair of flying ring-necked pheasants are carved hollow and are very light for hanging, and they are in their coming in for a landing position with set wings. The heads and necks are slightly uplifted and turned. The tails are semi-fanned and the feet are carved against the body. The wings are cupped and there is carved and painted feather detail on all sides making these pheasants more valuable where you can view them from any angle, and the painting is finished with Casey's very own antique looking patina, which you can especially see when held in your hands. Look at the vibrant rooster's colors and the soft camouflaged colors on the hen. The eye screws are situated so that these birds are tilted at an angle, so you can see the top side and underside when hanging. Hanging in the right place in your home, these flyers will look astonishing!
