KIRK SMITH (Navajo / Dine’; 1957 – 2012.) One of the most skilled practitioners of the Classic Navajo Revivalist style, Smith was known for his skilled stamp work and for including only the highest quality stone sets. He often collaborated with his wife, Gloria Begay Smith. He was known for creating bracelets, rings, boxes, and, most famously, concho belts. He was taught by his grandfather, Harry Morgan.
