Picked this up in the 1980's at an upstate NY auction house. The Big Game Hunters name was Stacey, his collection was huge.
This was billed as an Alaskan Yukon Moose, Boone and Crockett record mount. The leather covering the skull cap was said to come from the same moose, secured with black tacks. The plaque is stained solid wood, ready to hang on your wall.
I cannot verify the record part or the leather, but it's a nice one with large palms and 21 points.I'...ll give the best measurements I can.
Note all measurements are approximate, I rounded down to the smallest size.
Outside overall is 44” wide and 33” high (with plaque). Left palm is 10-1/4” wide by 21” high.Right palm is 13-1/2” wide by 26” high.Crowns have a circumference of 10”. There are a total of 21 points.
There are worn areas and a few minor dings, which do not take away from this magnificent beast.
