TRUE VINTAGE, and extremely hard to find! RELIANCE 1937 Mercury Glass Christmas Light Bulbs, C-6 size 15V, 19 of these rare beauties in their original box. Here's a little information about these lamps, from the www.oldchristmastreelights.com website:These ornament lights were imported from Japan. Due to the silvering on the inside of the glass, the lights had a short life as a result of the increased heat trapped in the bulb. This set is almost impossible to find today.Whi...ch explains why these are so scarce - back in the day, if a bulb burned out, we just tossed 'em.I've tested all 19 of these using the 9V battery "hack", and surprisingly enough, they all light up! They're all in excellent condition as well - likely never used. No chips, cracks or damage noted, just a bit of clouding here or there from age & storage. Round bulbs are 1 1/2" long, pointed are 2" (not including the necks.) 6 of the pointed and 4 of the rounds also have indents, very unusual - all are handpainted and marked JAPAN on the necks.
