Here we have a very hard to find, important and sought after John Rogers statue group entitled “Washington”.  The statue depicts George Washington, the first president of the United States. The statue is in excellent condition. Rogers sculpted this group in 1875. The group is 30” tall, so it’s one of the largest Rogers' pieces.  Please note that all Rogers statues are referred to as "Groups", as the statues usually depicted a number, or groups of figures. Even ...though there is only one person in this statue it is still referred to as a Rogers Group.
I’m selling this piece way below market for a family member who purchased it decades ago and is now downsizing to smaller quarters. All she wants to do is sell the piece for the same price she paid for it years ago, hence the low opening bid. NOTE THAT SHIPPING IS INCLUDED TO ANYWHERE IN THE CONTINENTAL US!!!   The statue will be double boxed to ensure it arrives safely. It will also be insured.
