Extremely Rare Antique 2 day Marine Chronometer Nautical Ship Clock by Thomas Bassnett, Waterloo Road Liverpool, No. 2975, in wooden box with brass fittings and lacquered brass gimbals and bowl, silvered brass dial with Roman numerals and marked Thomas Bassnett, Waterloo Road, Liverpool, 56-hour Up-Down indicator, seconds bit and numbered 2975, two-day chain fusee movement, spring detent escapement, helical hairspring, split balance with adjustment screws and brass weights, tipsy key, ...padded and felt-lined outer bottom. Brass plaque on the front of the box reads: A/S J.C Krohn & Son strandgt. 58 Bergen, NorwayIt was purchased 10 years ago for $1700 and was well maintained. The movement runs and seems to be functioning as intended (all of the hands are ticking/moving and in working order) but needs cleaning and possibly repair; selling it as is as I’m not a clock expert.
