UP FOR AUCTION: G. Loomis FR 1088/5 IMX Fly Rod - Used - in Good Condition!This is an 8-weight, 9-foot, 4-piece, Fast-Action FlyFishing RodThis G. Loomis IMX fly rod is a classic pre-Shimano, pre-GLX Loomis rod. Made in the USA, this rod represents the first generation of the IMX rod as evidenced by the Gary Loomis signature on butt section. This rod has been used a fair amount, but is good condition with a lot of life left. All four rod pieces look quite good with just a few... minor scratches detected throughout. Everything looks good around each ferrule and guide - there is some very slight white corrosion under a couple of the snake guides. This slight wear looks to be nothing to effect performance. The rod is structurally andfunctionally sound. The cork grip and fighting butt show some discoloration simply due to normal handling and use. Rod does not come with it's original rod tube, but comes with a G.Loomis GLX rod sock and tube - both in good condition. A fun, classic and coveted fly rod, use this 8-weight on your next trip targeting bonefish, steelhead, or redfish.G.
