Over the next four or five weeks, I will be listing the rest of my personal slot car collection. All of the cars in my collection are all original, most of them, mint to near mint, in their original boxes, with quite a few rare ones! So "be sure" to add us to your favorite sellers, so you can be notified as they are listed. They will be going on Sunday nights, around 9:00 eastern time.
Up for bid here, we have a very rare, very nice, original 1960'...s Aurora, Model Motoring Thunderjet 500 Slot Car #1407 "Olive Drab" 1968 Dodge Charger. We've taken pictures of all sides of the car. Please use them to judge the condition. As you can see, the 50 year old rare slot car still looks brand new ! It has no cut wheel wells, no bent or broken window post, no splits in the screw post, perfect glass, beautiful color, with beautiful stripes, and beautiful original chrome. The only two things I see, keeping this car from being dead mint, is tiny hairline crack, on the dimple, on the trunk, from the screw post, and the original front bumper was loose, and was reattached. The original very low miles"closed rivet" chassis was completely gone through, cleaned and lubed a while back. It was just tested on a power pack, and still sounds good. The rare car comes to you in it's original case, with its' original label and oiling instructions. The foam was made from vintage foam, so it is about as close as you can get to a mint original foam. Take a good look at the pictures. This is the best piece in my collection !!
