This photo album was made by a nun/teacher who traveled in the Far East in 1919 and the early 1920s.
The first page of photos documents her travels on the steamship “Kashima Maru” and docking at Yokohama, Japan - there are photos a...round the Grand Hotel and street and canal scenes in Yokohama as well as ones in and around Tokyo and Kamakura.
The next segment documents her travels on the “Empress of Russia” from Yokohama to Vladivostok and there are photos of the Red Cross train and the Baikal Station. Photos of Omsk and Irtish River - refugee dug-out home, street scene, beggar. Russian churches in Omsk, Tomsk, Irkutsk. Vladivostok Cathedral, Priest in Habarosvk.
