The cap is green malachite andplatinum plated. Montblanc has discontinued the use of malachite in itsinstruments, due to the difficulty of obtaining this stone, and the CzarNikolai I models have become sought-after favorites, particularly with theuncommon platinum plated finishing (produced only between 2000 and 2002).This... pen is from a private collection.
