Here is a very rare Kilburn Gun Camera which was made in 1882 by the American Optical Company. The camera was advertised with the option of putting it on a gunstock to take pictures like you were using a rifle. It's hard to believe it was not a successful idea. The camera is in excellent shape and makes a wonderful display piece. It is made of high quality mahogany wood. The lens is a Darlot Paris and the glass is clean. The wheelstop diaphragm works. The rear standard moves easily on ...its track. It does not come with any plate holders and I do not have the gunstock which was optional. I did find an old catalog page for the camera and have included a picture of it at the end of the pictures. They only offered this camera for sale for a few years and here is a rare chance to add one to your collection. Check out my other auctions for more rare early cameras and brass lenses.
