Each week I bring you vintage early radio items. I have been collecting radios, phonographs, and music boxes for 45 years, and always have something interesting for sale. Here up for bid is this impossible to find vintage WNBC radio model RCA74B Junior Velocity ribbon microphone, with original WNBC flag mounted to it. This microphone was retired from WNBC in the 1950's, The RCA 74B microphone came out in 1935, and was used into the 1950's. This microphone is in very good co...ndition, The metal two covers has the usual small dings and dents you would expect. The ribbon is intact. This microphone has had a wire connector and on/off switch added for use in the radio station. Look at my photos to see this amazing microphone. It does work and requires a pre amp. What a lot of history it must have had. I bought this at the AWA radio meet in Rochester almost 30 years ago. It has been in my living room since. The mike comes with the small desk stand shown.
