This is a fully-restored and reimagined 1984 Specialized Stumpjumper -- beautifully lugged in Japan by Miyata from the early years, complete with biplane crowned fork. It was just professionally overhauled by Matt at the Cycle Surgeon in Cary, NC -- all new lavender cables and Eagle Claw brake pads retrofitted to the original Tomaselli brake levers (these were moto levers from before dedicated MTB levers were a thing!), all new grease/bearings. The vintage bolt axles on the original wh...eelset were removed and upgraded to quick release with completely one-off, purple anodized Phil Wood skewers I had custom made just for this bike. Lovely, Brooks B17 Special saddle with hand hammered copper rivets. Handmade in USA King bottle cages. New celeste ESI silicone grips, new SimWorks “The Homage” tires, new Wellgo platform pedals in hot pink, original hand-brazed Jim Blackburn rack. Plenty of clearance and braze-ons left over for fenders, a front rack, etc. It's a one-of-a kind gem! 💎 At 5'10" it's just a *little* small for me, and I'd need to pour a little more into it for new stem/bullmoose bars to get it just right, and as you can see I've already spared no expense. With other projects in the works I thought I’d put this out there to gauge interest. Shoot me a message with any questions and let’s talk!
