THIS PEN IS A SUPERB ULTRA ULTRA RARE, & MINT VINTAGE MB PEN FROM MY PRIVATE COLLECTION
So Very Very hard to find, a 60s VINTAGE MONTBLANC 149!!! This is an ULTRA rare 1967 MB 14. Absolutely mint and practically unused new, just preserved!!! These vintage 149 are significantly different from to...days modern 149...The 60s model, is by far the most Usable and reliable of all of vintage MB 149s.... unlike the extra brittle 50s version, the 60s version is far more robust! Even the slotted ink view is made to last forever! This vintage version still has a friction fit piston, one piece ebonite feed...the gorgeous old style nib, 50s style clip, rounded piston knob base ring, different font for the band model etc and even the top star is different from the later pens. These were still fully handmade pens and show the brilliance of Montblanc's old craftsmen....yet the 60s 149 is a pen that can be used every day! This would be the exact model version JFK actually had! The nib hardly requires any pressure to write and wit the slightest pressure can go 2mm+ thick lines with ease!
The 149 is ofcourse Montblanc legendary King-of-the-fleet model, it has been since since its introduction in 1950.... its their largest and thickest production pen for over 50 years now. Used by Kings, Queens, Presidents and Popes alike....this is the big one! An absolutely UNUSED piece bought in 1969!
Its an absolutely ORIGINAL pen that has been amazingly preserved too!! Wonderful balance and superb size as well!
