This auction is for a Very RARE 1916 Hammond Multiplex Mathematical Typewriter. It is in great condition for its age of 102 years old. (My opinion is that it is of museum quality.). It includes the original advertising mailer that went to the purchaser postmarked 1915 with a US one cent stamp on it. It also includes the original paperwork dated 1916. This Mathematical Multiplexer has an oak base and cover. The oak cover, although in very good condition, has some imperfections which I t...ried to take pictures of. The original metal label is still on the base. Also included in this auction is the reproduction of the “Instruction Manual for the use and care of all models of Hammond typewriters”. There are shuttles in the typewriter +2 additional shuttles, one of which is the Mathematical shuttle. It has four lines of characters and symbols instead of three lines. This auction also includes four wood shuttle boxes, a few small parts, and a ribbon box. Please ask questions before bidding. Please see the pictures.
