Vintage C1925 " Klein Adler " Thrust Action Typewriter With Case

This "Klein Adler" typewriter dates from around 1925 and is a thrust action machine.The print heads strike the platen when the keys are depressed and the carriage drops down up when the "G" or "Z" key is pressed.Unfortunately, the carriage retune cable is broken, although, the carriage does move along and roatates well. The knob has a split.The machine has retained much of its' original black lacquered finish, there are two or three small paint chips to the cover and the frame at the ...front. The gold lettering and eagle logo has faded in places, but for the most part has a good colour.The nickel plating and metal parts do show a little loss finish and signs of surface rust in places.There are also the use marks, scratches and marks that you would expect from a well used item of this age.The keys are all present and the lettering, numbers, etc are clear and legible and there is no staining to the celluloid coverings .I have tried to show the condition in the photographs.The serial number for this machine is "320102".The machine has its' original case, the handle has broken on one side and there is some surface rust to the exposed metal.The catches work fine. Unfortunately, the carriage retune cable is broken, although, the carriage does move along and roatates well. The knob has a split.
