Please use the zoom! This is a breathtakingly beautiful older Navajo Turquoise sterling silver squash blossom necklace Cir. 1950's or earlier. This extraordinary necklace must have taken days to create! To hand cut and set each exquisite stone and then create and set them in their finely made bezels.. This is a generous squash blossom just covered in gorgeous Sea foam blue green Sleeping Beauty Turquoise with a natural matrix peaking through that just adds to their personality! All the... stunning stones are set in magnificent large exquisitely hand wrought settings with 4 pronged blossoms range in size from roughly just over 1 1/2" to just over 1" wide! There are a total of 10 sweet turquoise flower clusters and I LOVE that this same design has been carried into the Naja design! I'm always so pleased to find these older beauties that have been well cared for and with no damage to the stones! The Naja is set with 18 perfectly matched plump Sleeping Beauty stones that are all finely set in saw tooth bezels! Make no mistake, these are not tiny stones in this squash and please note that the artist hand cut the stones to fit their hand wrought bezels! I just love it when you turn this necklace into the light while looking at the stones and you can see the cutting marks used by the lapidarist! There are two rows of thick well made sterling bench beads that are all strung on it's original silver chain that has been soldered to a hook and eye closure. Just a gorgeous, gorgeous necklace with breathtakingly beautiful turquoise! The necklace measures 24 1/2" long with a 14 3/4" hanging length and weighs an impressive but comfortable 197 Grams! The Naja measures roughly 3 1/2" tall by 3" wide. In beautiful vintage condition with a heavy patina! No hallmarks as expected in older pieces but there are some faint pawn numbers hidden on the back of the Naja. Please ask questions before bidding as I do not accept returns. Payment must be made within 72 hours of auction end.
