If you don't know who Dr. Sartin is, he's worth googling. Legend has it that he was psychologist who was dealing with compulsive gamblers and came up with "win therapy" in the form of a system that beat the horses. His position was that these people weren't addicted to gambling as much as they were addicted to loosing. At least that's my take on it.Well the rest is history, and myth, and legend as they say. I went to a couple of his seminars back in the day and must say they were always interesting, thought provoking, to see him and his acolytes in action. There were times when I kinda thought he was a snake oil salesman (he used to talk about the correct pace line of a horse's pace performance "looming" off the page at you) but again he certainly did make a contribution to pace handicapping.
