Up for bids is this Antique 19thC Emile Picoult Bronzed Spelter Shirtless Man Statue. Measuring 16" high x 6 1/2" wide x 4 3/4" in depth. This bronzed spelter statue depicts a shirtless blacksmith titled "L'Olivier, Le Rameau du Trava. He is carrying a blacksmith tool in his left hand and there are more blacksmith tools at his side and feet. He is missing the two olive branches he ...carried in his right hand. He is very muscular and has an outstanding physique. The details and workmanship are superb. The sculpture is on a green marble base. It has the impressed E. Picault impressed name and the title Le Rameau du Trava and L'Olivier.
Condition is very, very good. There is a small chip on the back left side of the marble base, there is a slight wobble to where the statue is attached to the marble base and he is missing the olive branches from his raised right hand.
