Shipped with USPS First Class Package. For a few years in the late 1950’s and early 1960’s, my dad worked as a TV Director in Chicago for a local baseball interview show hosted by Bob Elson, who was also the radio broadcaster for the Chicago White Sox. Iwas a 10-year-old Little Leaguer in 1959 and... loved both the White Sox and theCubs. Whenever visiting ball clubs would be in town, Bob would have them on his show. My dad decided that since I would often come down to the show to meet my baseball heroes, I needed to have an official autograph book to collect their signatures. THIS IS THAT BOOK. There are 60 autographs in the book, so I didn’t get to meet all these players in person, but my father was good enough to always have them sign the book for me if I wasn't there. This explains why several are addressed, “To Don… etc.” There are a few autographs (see pics) that I got as a kid when I didn’t have the book with me, and so at the time I inserted them into the book. Hank Aaron’s autograph is one of those. Meeting him in person was, in fact, my best autograph collecting experience…. Really nice guy. The fact that the show was in Chicago explains why there are so many autographs from White Sox and Cubs players. One page has been cut out.A Cub named Jim Marshall hit 3 home runs the day he was on the show, and so hesigned it 3 times. I gave one of those autographs to a friend. In case there’s still any question as to the authenticity of the book, I’ve also included a Polaroid photo of myself with Nellie Fox (his signature is not in the book) in the White Sox dugout. My dad lugged that giant photo blowup(4 ft tall) of Fox that was a set piece on the wall of the Bob Elson show, down to Comiskey Park to have me meet my hero, Nellie, and have him sign it for me.(Now that’s a good dad) It’s a bit hard to part with the book, but I will always have the memories of how my dad helped make his kid’s dreams come true. I still have that Giant blow up of Fox, signed, "Best Wishes, Nelson Fox" that I may be listing soon. Please feel free to ask any questions.Autographs include....
