Authentic Ron Santo #10 Chicago Cubs Flag Flown Over Wrigley Field. White with stitched blue lettering. Front reads "SANTO". Back reads "10". Measures approx 3 x 5 feet. Includes Certificate of Authenticity from the Cubs on official letterhead, dated September 29, 2002. Frayed edges from being exposed to the wind and elements, but this is to be expected from a genuine game used and only attests to its originality. Great displayability. See pics for condition detail.
PROVENANCE : Est...ate collection of a Robert Shapiro, owner of one of the largest Cubs memorabilia collections in the county; Shapiro was former chair member of the Emil Verban Memorial Society, the invite-only Chicago Cubs fan club of Washington, D.C. that has counted presidents and Supreme Court justices among its members. He was closely acquainted with several of the "greats" from the 60s and 70s Cubs, and the collection includes personal letters and items gifted by the likes of Ernie Banks, Billy Williams, etc. We will be listing hundreds of vintage sports memorabilia from his collection in the coming months, including signed balls, photos, sports cards, pennants, etc. This is a CAN'T MISS for Cubs fans and a must-see estate collection for any devotee to the sport, so follow our page and stay tuned!
