Up for auction is a 1940's vintage original wooden advertising die cut back bar display sign for Rolling Rock Premium Beer in Latrobe, PA. The sign has wonderful graphics advertising "A Little Nip in Pony Bottles" "Brewed with pure mountain spring water" and has a wonderful horse graphic at the top. Pony bottles were 7oz beer bottles. This early point of purchase sign is completely made of wood with the letters being individually die cut. The shelf talker sign m...easures 14.5in by 5.75in. This sign is all wood, no chalkware or chalk like other shelf talker signs. It has wonderful bright colors. The statue sign came straight from an old bar, with the sign being screwed into the wall. There is a tiny hole above the horse ear where the sign was hung. The sign was made by Knipple Studio in Marengo, Iowa. Vintage Rolling Rock Beer items do not come along very often, and this one is fresh to the market. This item predates the merger with Anheuser-Busch Budweiser.
