Primus Baltimore Clipper 1939 Vintage Camp Camping Stove Kerosene Antique Rare

Hi folks!Here's a rare Primus Baltimore Clipper kerosene stove. The date code on the tank is AD, so this stove is from 1939.From my understanding, these stoves were sold as options by American yacht manufacturers for their boats. There are not many examples out there, and most of them are coated in navy blue and cream enamel. I've only seen pictures of one other red one like this.They use the same tank and burners as a Primus 523 or 527, so spare parts are pretty easy to find, but they... have a completely different enameled steel housing with unique cast iron trivets.The enamel is in very good condition, though there are some chips and scrapes, as expected of an eighty year old stove. The Primus Baltimore Clipper logo with the ship's wheel and the red pinstripe accents on the sides are actually stamped into the metal, so they're not just stencils.The cast iron trivets are in great shape, with no cracks. The large capacity tank is nickel plated, and is in nice condition for it's age. The burners perform excellently, and this is one of the best burning stoves that I own. They are regulated silent burners with internal cleaning needles, and have a wide range of adjustment. They are very powerful, but can simmer low enough to cook rice perfectly. I really, really like these burners.This stove has been a regular user for me, has accompanied me on many adventures, is one of my favorites, and I'll be very sad to see it go, but I'm thinning down my collection, and it doesn't fit into my plans anymore.It will be packaged carefully in a strong box with lots of packaging, and I always ship quickly.
