Up for auction is a recent estate find . This is a stunning pair of oversized High Head Canvasbacks decoys by the Dean of the Delaware River School of carving Robert "Bob" White from Tullytown , PA . Bob is now into his 80s ( still carving ) and has been carving for over 60 years . His decoys are widely sought after and highly collectible . He and his decoys have been featured in many books , magazines , in museums and collected world wide . This great pair of high head cans are f...lat bottomed and larger that his normal Delaware River decoys = they measure 16" long ( tail to pill tip ) , a bit over 6" wide and stand 9" high ! They are hollow carved , oil paint , rigged , bearing Bob's signature quail weight on the bottom , plus signed and dated 2000 . Terrific pair of investment / collectible decoys for the discriminating buyer . Just look at the great form and paint on the pair of decoys !I believe that if you could talk Bob into carving you a pair of decoy his prices start at $1500 per pair and go way up from there = that's for regular Delaware River decoys and not over-sized decoys .
