ANTIQUE GERMAN KIENZLE PETITE SONNERIE EXTRA LARGE WALL CLOCK FROM THE LATE 1800'SThis clock is a one of a kind clock a must have for one's collection. This is a wooden clock easily from the late 1800's. This clock's color can best be described as a very rich golden reddish brown that catches everyone's eye. This clock has amazing detail that intricately describes the columns all its finals and all it's decorative pieces. This clock has two pieces of antique wavy ...glass on front of the case antique convex glass over the clocks face and the second piece is in front of the pendulum. The two small side doors on each side of the clock have it's antique weave mesh which makes the clock sound louder and more distinctly attractive surely to get anyone's attention. This clock has a solid brass movement that runs on 8 days. The movement can be best described as a petite sonnerie this clock gongs on 2 separate coils also known as a double gong. The clock has a gong gong sound. On the quarter (15) the clock will gong gong , on the half(30) the clock will gong gong, gong gong, on the three quarter(45) the clock will gong gong, gong gong, gong gong and on the hour a set of gong gong for the times the hour. The movement is stamped DR. PATENT 125 605 43/104 along with its Kienzle signature markings of wings. The clocks movement bracket is a double gong bracket marked Kienzle with its signature wings stamped marking on both pieces these markings are amazing and such a rare find. This is a working clock and in great condition for it's age. The clocks antique hands are metal and are beautifully hand crafted with a very attractive design. The clocks antique face is a lemon in color which is very rare and is made from porcelain with amazing scrolled numerals. The dial middle insert with the cherub head and wings match the design on the pendulum and comes with its matching beat scale.The measurement's are as followed: This clock is a very extra large clock as it is an inch over 4 feet tall.The clock is 49 inches tall and 17 3/4 inches wide and 8 3/4 inches deep.The clocks dial measures 7 1/4 inches in diameter. The pendulum bob measures 4 1/2 inches in diameter. This clock comes with it's antique key and it's 2 case levelers.
