Here we have an original 19th Century micro beaded single moccasin we just acquired out of a wonderful estate. You see many of these that are not real, or old, but this one is!. We believe that it is a Plains Indian affiliation, and quite possibly Sioux. Wonderful early piece! It is however being sold as found as it does show some wear and has some damage. There is no bottom sole as it was most likely worn badly? You can see holes where there was one sewn one. The hide is soft and pliable.... This is really a beautiful and colorful ceremonial beaded moccasin. The bead work and quality of the early beads are exceptionally nice. It measures approximately 9 1/2 inches long. It would be a fabulous piece of art separated at the back heel and laid flat for framing. PLEASE FEEL FREE to email me with any questions you may have and I will be happy to help!
