Scarce Original UNITED STATESLIGHTHOUSE SERVICE Brass 3-gallon OIL Transfer CAN13 ¾” tall. 9” diameter baseThe body of the can is bears theoriginal, distinctive oval stamp: "U. S. L. H. DEPOT, 3 DIST., LAMP SHOP, STATEN ISLAND, N.Y." Also bears original stamping "U. S. LIGHT-HOUSEESTABLISHMENT" above.Brass oil filler is completelyoriginal, with spout and brace, and handles. Condition: Spout end and top cap aremissing. Dents around the upper part. The stamped inscriptions are sligh...tlyworn but readable.THISIS A NO RESERVE AUCTION!
