Very rare and huge sterling inlay thunderbird bolo. It is 5" tall at the tallest point. The total weight is 112.9 grams. It is signed on the reverse: Amos (Edaakie) Pooacha Zuni N.M.I believe this artisan was known primarily for kachina statues, so I would imagine this is an unusual piece. Besides the thunderbird there are pretty inlay/mosaic dangles on the tips. Turquoise, mother of pearl, and other stones/shells. It is in great vintage condition with no missing stones or other damage.... Light wear/tarnish on surface of the sterling consistent with gentle use. This piece is one of several fine Native American sterling pieces that I'll be listing this week. These are all from the estate of a Durham, NC, collector.
