Title:Vintage Rare US Mail Boeing 247 NC 13301 United Airlines Airplane Lamp Circa 1933Description:Presented for your consideration is a very rare and unique United Airlines Airplane Lamp. The Boeing 247 NC 13301 was the first model of this revolutionary aircraft. It is considered the prototype for the modern airliner because it was a clean cantilever, low-wing monoplane of all metal construction with twin engines, retractable landing gear and had accommodation fo...r a pilot, copilot, stewardess and ten passengers. This airplane lamp was made by the A.C. Rehberger Company "Makers of Distinctive Art Creations" in Chicago, Illinois. It is constructed of cast metal and is 15 1/2" tall x 22 1/2" wide x 15 1/2" deep. There are four decals; two "United Airlines US Mail" on the fuselage, and two on the tail which reads "Boeing 247 NC 13301 US Mail" It also has retractable landing gear (wheels), a light bulb assembly inside the fuselage, propellers that spin (both are slightly bent), a silver finish (which is worn away on the top but mostly intact underneath). There is some dirt and light surface rust on the base. It has an older electrical cord that will need to be replaced. Overall it is in GOOD condition. Please refer to the photos for the best details.
