This auction is for an amazing find. This is a very clean Singer 221k Featherweight Sewing Machine. The serial number dates this to 1968/1969. This piece shows very little wear and has obviously been well taken care of for all of its 50 years. As you can see from the pictures, it is super clean. T...Here is some sticker adhesive on the front right at the bottom, but you'll be able to get that off with little trouble.
There are a few imperfections that keep this from being totally mint. There are a few marks on the motor housing mostly on the silver band including a small dent. The finish on the body has a couple rough spots at the joint from the fold down part over-folding a bit and scraping on the body. None of this is a big deal, but they do keep it from being mint. The case has a couple of small small blemishes and shows some light wear, but is still beautiful and nice than any one I have personally ever seen.
The machine is in excellent working condition. The motor is smooth running and appears as strong as ever. All the components are clean and free of rust or corrosion. If you are looking for a beautiful white featherweight that looks as great as it works, this one might just be for you!
The foot pedal is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The cords are also in excellent condition.
The case key is included, and the lock still functions perfectly! There are a few original singer tools included. When was the last time you saw the white singer screwdrivers? There are a good collection of bobbins as well as other accessories. There is an original accessory box as well as the original manual.
