An excellent full size Freiberger marine sextant with company logo to the arm 'Freiberger, Prazisionsmechanik', numbered 871891 with applied label 'Carl Zeiss, Jena', and 'D.R.S.K.' (classification authority).
Dimension of instrument: 26 x 24 x 13 cm.Graduated drum with scale intervals of 1' estimated to 0.1'.Weight 1.4 kilos.Arc radius: 17cm, length of divisions -5 to 125, scale intervals 1.Telescope magnification: 4 x, effective aperture 40mm.
With mirror adjusting sp...anner, operating instruction manual and certificate dated Nov 1989.
I cannot find a fault or blemish anywhere on the instrument. Item appears un-used. The light brown 'lines' visible towards each end of the drum are grease.
