BIG BAD KONG - ICKLE PICKLE MAGIC - DAVID GINN - VINTAGE MAGIC TRICK
Item History & Price
Reference Number: Avaluer:471297 | Country/Region of Manufacture: United States |
King Kong's head is removed and replaced with an inflated balloon. A funny face is drawn on the balloon with a marker. King Kong's real head is magically vanished. Suddenly the balloon pops, and the head reappears on Kong's shoulders! A great trick for children's magic shows!
Adding to the value of this prop as a collectible, is it's provenance. This prop was the personal property of... noted children's performer David Ginn. I obtained it from him several years ago. It was used by David in hundreds of performances and photographed for his book " Magic and Monsters for Kids I Love" published in 1984. It is also the one that was used in his 1983 DVD "Sure-Fire Kidshow Magic".
As expected, the condition of vintage this prop is used. It shows some wear from trouping and use but it is still in good condition and works perfectly. Please see photo. It is show ready for performance or can be displayed in a collection. This is an early model of this prop with a large wood base for stability. The figure itself is made entirely of metal and stands 17" tall.
You will receive the King Kong figure and removable head. I will also include a photocopy of the instructions. If you plan to use it in performance, you will need to provide a Devil's Hank or change bag for the vanish of the head as well as your own balloons and some masking tape to attach the balloon to the figure.
