Here we have a vintage northwest Canada Haida Shaman's Dance Rattle depicting a bear's head, in poor condition on the back where there is a shattered area that has been glued. Some small pieces are missing. The front of the rattle is still in excellent shape and shows well while displayed on a wall as photos show. The rattle still is present and works. Done by Thorn Arts, this was bought new by my parents in the early 1960's. I remember that this piece arrived damaged back then wh...en my parents had this shipped when we went to the Northwest and Canada, Banff, Tetons and I was a preteen. Stored all these years. The rattle is about 16 inches long. Please refer to pictures for condition. Made out of argilite or another type of clay substance not wood.
