This pair is made of native tanned hide with parfleche soles, sewn with sinew. The cuffs are trimmed with a blue printed fabric. Overall the moccasins look in used but good display condition, however the leather is stiff from sitting for about 100 years. There are wear marks associated with use and one of the moccasins has dirt mark across the top. Some loss o...f beads and metal tinklers from the dirty one. Please see the pictures for detail. Non smoking home. My family traveled the west extensively in the late 1800's - early 1900's and were the original purchasers. I've included a couple pictures (quasi-provenance)The uppers are decorated with beads, sewn in a Lakota/ Dakota design in bead colors white, red, and dark blue.
