Beautiful 1920's era hand-stitched needlepoint. This is one of my pieces that I used in my old home and won't have a suitably sized place for now. My mother (who is an amazing seamstress) years ago finished this into a valance by adding an ivory colored cotton lining on the back side and a very narrow rod pocket at the top. It fits a skinny rod, the type that is used on door windows. I've added a picture of it on the window I had it displayed on (I had to situate the rod underneath the... wooden blind because of the depth of the upper blind). The needlepoint was probably originally intended to be used as a mantle decoration. It measures 35" x 12" and is in beautiful condition with no stains or damage. There are 2 tiny, very narrow lines of stitching that are slightly understitched (SEE LAST PHOTO). It's within the red flower. You can not see this at all unless you're searching intentionally and very closely for it. That's the only thing to mention really. Very gorgeous piece that has many more years of great display left ahead of it, and I hope whoever gets it loves it as much as I always have. NOTE: This item is available for U.S. shipment only.
