Original Description:
This is an antique hand carved wood eyeglass case that is painted-dated on one side and has the initials J D Opainted in what I think is old gold, but now dull with age and wearon the reverse. Very elaborately done painting. There is a pair of wire rim glasses with some slight oxidation inside. The case has great patina with only a fewworn areas, and is 4 1/4 x 2 1/4 x 1/2.  This has everything going  for it-poly chromed, dated, initials, and hand carved- and one of a ki...nd.
