5 inches high, 5.75 inches across & 3.5 inches deep.155.7 grams.This etrog box is cast and hand-chased in the highest quality. While the lettering and other details such as the lid latch and entire underside are an identical match to other known etrog boxes from pre-war Austria or GermanyIt is monogrammed with 10 and a word, maybe the month and date of 1880. On the other side initials JC or TC please look at the photos. The balance is great and the details are so beautiful the lid clos...es secure and perfect with a nice solid snap.I cannot locate any hallmarks, other than the 750 purity of the silver. I have tested to confirm with acid test.small dent in the top that can easily be pushed out or just leave it as it does not detract from the fine work.
Not being hallmarked is not a surprise, and occasionally this type of etrog box did not have hallmarks impressed anywhere.
