Ribbon Clock Time Machine by Øyvind Kaurstad See YouTube Demo Below:https://youtu.be/WTI41XXrW4g This item is the brainchild of the talented Norwegian Øyvind Kaurstad and it has been causing quite a stir over at the Cafe and on YouTube. Check-out Rob Rand’s wonderful video to view the action!It is a very clever device built to some pretty tight tolerances using a Digital Printer and some people even prefer it to Richard Gerlitz’s Family... Ties which of course was based upon Ian Ogilvey Blocks of San Yen. There is no doubt it looks very convincing. This is one of those effects where the set-up is harder than the performance for sure. If you have poor eye-sight, arthritis or lack of patience I would not recommend this item, because you may struggle to set it up. I will say that Øyvind provides excellent instructions to help with the set-up and it certainly makes it easier if you watch the video first.Includes: Instructions and extra Ribbon. The Blocks of San Yen by Ogilvey/Lembo From a sold out limited edition, this set features blocks finished in
the original blue/black color scheme.
The original apparatus was made in England by Ian Ogilvey
in a limited edition of only 25 pieces. They are very rare and
coveted by collectors. This is a great replication from master craftsman Paul Lembo, who
has done custom work for some of the world's leading collectors,
including David Copperfield, Ken Klosterman and the late Dr. Albo,
who featured Paul's work in his Okito books/DVD set.
The effect:Three large wooden blocks are displayed on a thin black platform.
The blocks are separated, and it's seen that a yellow ribbon is running
freely through all three blocks. The ribbon is pulled back and forth
and openly displayed.
With the blocks separated, the performer takes scissors and cuts the
ribbon in two places. This is done openly, with absolutely no suspicious
moves. This small piece of ribbon is removed from the center block
and clearly shown.
The blocks are again placed together on the platform. The piece of
ribbon cut away can then be burned or vanished.
Although every action has been carried out slowly and cleanly and
it's obvious to the audience that the ribbon is cut in half.....when the
performer takes an end of the ribbon and slowly pulls it....amazingly,
the other end moves with it!
The ends can be pulled back and forth....and finally the entire length
is pulled from the blocks and may be given away! The ribbon is
completely restored!
An amazing effect. The Blocks of San Yen has fooled some of the
brightest minds in magic. The hidden mechanics employed to allow
such a miracle to happen are ingeniously designed. This will become
a favorite piece to display and perform.
In good condition. Complete with everything needed and DVD
