Motorola 50xc catalin. Plays … dial cord is loose. No back. I was told by the collector that I bought it from over 20 years ago that the chassis was for a 50xw (wooden) rather that a 50xc (catalin) but that the chassis were exactly the same …. only the cabinets were different. I have no further evidence one way or the other. I found what appears to be 50x"w" on back of chassis and took picture but not very clear so not sure. It appears that ...if the "xw" was cleaned from the back, there would be nothing to distinguish it from an "xc". Chassis fits perfectly and apparently is identical to and the same as the 50x"c" but you need to decide if this matters.Case is in excellent condition with no cracks or chips that I can see and with a beautiful finish. However, the speaker bezel has a crack. I have also included a repro speaker cloth that came with the radio but never installed. Leaving the radio collecting field …. hate to part with it but it needs a good home.
