Good Solid Gurkha Kukri from Nepal.
As used in daily life in Nepal.
Blade: 28 cm
Probably brought back from an expedition in the mid 1950's.
Good ethnographic, item as used, not a commercial or export type product.
The Gurkhas are a warrior race from Nepal in the Himalayas. Their Kukri knoves are both practical and have religious significance.
This item is a good solit piece made of good quality steel.
