Happy summer, everyone.
It's Friday, June 21st, and I'm writing this from a cottage near Stonehenge, where I'm waiting patiently for the solstice. Just kidding. It's Sunday, June 23rd, and I'm writing this from my living room in North Carolina, where I'm staring out at my neighbor's driveway, watching his German Shepard chase a skink. I lead an exciting life.

Here's a hard-to-find Walmore crystal radio manufactured in England in the early 1920's. As you can see, the radio has a removable glass front and was designed to reside on a table, like a conventional radio, or be mounted on a wall, like a phone.
Condition overall is excellent, as you can see in the photographs. Clean faux wood panel (probably hard rubber), with no cracks, no chips, no scratches, etc. Original detector, with catwhisker and mineral still intact. Original binding post assemblies, with engraved escutcheons and no missing binding post nuts. Original oak cabinet is in excellent shape, and its original finish is still intact. Glass front cover is likewise in excellent condition. Glass appears to be original, and it's clean and undamaged. Original BBC license decal on the panel and original manufacturer's decal on the cabinet. Both decals are in excellent condition.
Includes a pair of good Kellogg headphones but is otherwise untested and is being offered for historical and/or collecting purposes only, with no assurances -- stated or implied -- that it's suitable for contemporary broadcast reception.
Shipping weight, properly packed, will be about 10 lb.
