Description/Interesting Notes: An absolutely AMAZING example of cuprian smithsonite from Mexico!!! Let me start by saying that this specimen's color is even better than these pics show - in person it is a true BLUE BLUE BLUE!!! This specimen consists of a robust, thick, group of botryoidal smithsonite crystals that exhibit gorgeous translucence, brilliant luster, and some of the finest blue color I have ever seen in a smithsonite (from ANY locality)!!! The specimen even has some accents of iridescence in the luster as well!!! This specimen is in fantastic condition and displays gorgeously in person!!! This is an AMAZING specimen that catches the eye from across the room - it is seriously unique in terms of color - again, it is even better than these pics show!!! Although I don't have a collection this is one I would want to keep if I did!!! This specimen was formerly in the collection of Charlie Key (retains a label from Marshall Sussman with Charlie Key Collection notation)!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
