This is for an interesting old Victorian vesta case fashioned as a miniature flask. It is clearly marked 'The Maze, Morton's Patent' and it has a very unique mechanism in the lid where you turn the top and this rotates the three shutters inside opening the case, its very similar to the way film makers thought doors would open in the future on sci-fi programs of old...(if only). It has a grooved plate onthe base for striking the matches and obviously the inside is for storing the matche...s. It is in excellent condition withno dents, the mechanism is working perfectly and it shows only the light surface wear you see in the pics. It measures 30mm (1.25") across by 15mm (0.5") deep by 50mm(2") tall.
